chalk Akira Ishida up to my list of awesome voice-actors to follow.
i knew i recognized him in Kare Kano as Kazuma. just wanted to confirm it at Anime News Network.com. 'lo and behold, he's done a lot more voice acting work than i thought!!
i knew him as Cho Hakkai, from the Saiyuki series. i acknowledged him as one of great talent. but HOLY CRAP.
Makoto?!?! in Boys Be...?!?!? since when?! that boy is a horny little sixteen year old! Sakura Wars?! Samurai Deeper Kyo?! RANMA 1/2 as Yutaro?!?! Yutaro?! the baby child boy that refuses to leave his bedroom?! (i can understand not recognizing that one, he could've been very young at the time) Gundam Seed, Inuyasha, Alien 9... and... Naruto?! AS GAARA?!?!?!!??!

... come to think of it, though... yeah. holy crap, Hakkai and Gaara are of the same voice.

... this surprises me because they are such vastly different characters. so yes. Akira Ishida. you. are. awesome.

- Kappei Yamaguchi. male Ranma, Inuyasha. i just like his voice. he's very expressive :P
- Megumi Hayashibara. female Ranma, Faye Valentine, Elle Low, ++ she's just incredible
- Kouichi Yamadera. Ryoga, Spike Spiegel, DONALD DUCK?!?! ++ WHOA. talk about altering your voice...
- Junko Takeuchi. Naruto, Kamatari. this woman has the boy thing DOWN
- Souichiro Hoshi. Son Goku. i just like his voice too. XD
- Hiroaki Hirata. Sha Gojyo, Genma Shiranui, jap dub of Jack Sparrow!! w00t!
- Toshihiko Seki. Genjo Sanzo, Mousse, Iruka-sensei, Duo Maxwell. noice variety. and i think Victoria likes his work, too... Iruka-sensei and Duo. coincidence? i wonder... o_O

and i just realized that in that list are all four of the main boys of Gensoumaden Saiyuki. ahh, the bishie voice talent.
