setting out to the wide unknown
whoohoo! i have a new adventure to look forward to everyday: taking the metrolink. O_O
bwahaha, i'm oddly amused by this stuff. i realize that i should probably be more, like... worried... or whatever, but i find it all very exciting! even though it means that i have to spend about... $15 everyday just to come home from school... i should really get a pass thing or something, this is going to destroy what little money i have in my wallet.
but anyways, for now, i'm kinda just hanging around... gotta convince that guy in the registrar that i don't need to take English 101 because Chapman kinda already set me up there. then maybe i can take that creative writing class... unless it's full... boo... then i might have to take that math class (AAAARGH I HATE MATH)... or just english 102 or something. yeah, i like that one better than math, i think.
school hasn't been so bad so far. i love the fact that i get wireless internet, so i don't have to sit around and wait for someone to get off one of those computers. and if i wanna print something, there's that other lab downstairs that is like, solely for printing stuff. bwahaha. the laziness consumes. umm... classes wise, i've only gone to 2 of 'em so far (like i said, i have a space open for that english class i may need, and then i have a class in about 45 minutes). the history class seems like it's going to be interesting. i'm definitely taking advantage of the extra credit stuff that he offered (write reviews on historical based movies? Good Night and Good Luck? HELL YES!).
and my Japanese class... consists of about 9 people. we got a buncha transfers in our little family now! the only problem is that... well, they're quite intimidating. because... they're practically FLUENT. and we were all like T_T *shrink* but our teacher's really adorable and funny, and we all like her. and she was telling us all about this class that i DESPERATELY WANT TO TAKE SIMPLY BECAUSE IT SOUNDS SOOO INTERESTING, but it completely conflicts with my schedule!! damn history class!! >_< it's pretty much a Japanese pop culture class... as in, you get to watch anime and discuss their themes and techniques and relevance to the culture and stuff... AND I WANNA TAKE IT BUT I CAN'T!! T_T
ARGH. so that's how school bit me in the ass just as i was thinking i might come around to liking it.
so that's my current situation. in other news...
i just saw Caitlin's LJ and the Harry Potter pictures, and i was just like "HEEEHHHHH??!?!?!" a friend of mine showed me a picture of Dan and Emma recently, and Emma had suddenly transformed into Jamie Spears or something, so i was glad to see that she looked nothing like that in those pictures. but still!! Dan's hair is just so funny looking, he's not Harry Potter anymore! and Dean... Dean's HUGE!! i mean... WHOA. and for some reason, i always imagined Luna having really long hair... it looks rather short in that picture. hmmm... but i think seeing Ginny in trousers is quite funny. i can't remember if she was in trousers in the other movies, but now that i think on it, it would make sense for her to wear trousers, huh? hand-me-downs... all brothers... oh well.
either way, a lot of people look funny with their new haircuts. except for Ron, actually, Ron looks fine. Harry's hair is the one, the weird one. oh, and Neville. he kinda looks... really creepy. ... oh well. Umbridge isn't quite the way i imagined her either. shouldn't she look more like a toad? like, short and wide or.... squished looking, somehow... i dunno. but the picture of her very pink-ness in that pink room was quite alarming. that could just be my aversion to too much of the color pink, but... whatever... it was alarming.
anyways... i'm feeling a bit wary of HP5 the movie, but... hmm... we'll see what happens.
so that's it for now. :P i'm off!
