First things first. This one makes me giggle. It's totally not in my style!! I mean, I was just drawing lines all over the place, trying to figure out what to draw next, and this is literally how my brain started to function:
"lalala, ooh, this one kinda looks like the side of a face. let's make a better one. hey, let's actually draw a face! lala face, hey it's pointy, let's make it a Malfoy, let's make it Narcissa Malfoy. line line line WAVY LINES HAIR W00T, tralalalala. Narcissa Malfoy seduces Roy Mustang, Draco makes annoyed faces. lines lines lines lines okay done! ...whoa. ... needs color. *save*"
not bad, considering i wasn't even aiming to really draw something. and it seriously took me like, two minutes. cracks me up, dude. XD i tried to recreate the process for a drawing of Ed, which turned out pretty good, but didn't quite achieve the desired effect of "did i draw that?!" damn you, conscious mind.
and then there's also...
heeheehee.... HEEHEEHEE... i woulda put this up on DeviantArt too, but it's kinda spoilery, and I don't want to spoil the events of my fic for people in the off chance that they want to go read it.
so anyway. i was rereading my fic (Cerulean Silver vs Amber Gold, for those who have yet to hear about it from me) yesterday, because i need to do that periodically... i have this tendency to forget what i've written, so i need constant reminding. and while i was reading chapter 32, and i was suddenly inspired to draw... so i did.... AND HOLY CRAP, MAN, IT BECAME EPIC.
still don't want to spoil it for people... click here if you just want to see the damn thing already. :P
and why on earth am i making such a big deal out of this picture? well... i mean, there's still quite a few things about it that i want to fix, and someday i'll probably get around to doing that... but like... i dunno. there's just something about this drawing that makes me squeal with delight!! maybe it's the background... i hardly ever draw my own backgrounds, mostly out of laziness, partly because i suck at backgrounds and inanimate objects and straight lines and whatnot. BUT I ACTUALLY MADE A BACKGROUND FOR THIS PIC!! BY MYSELF. WITH NO REFERENCES OR HELP OR ANYTHING. and that excites me beyond belief!!! i'm so proud of myself... *sniff* i didn't even know how i was gonna do it, 'cause i mean, it's in a bathroom, and there's water everywhere, and the image totally wouldn't have been complete if the background wasn't there-
*takes a deep breath* okay. okay, i'm seriously shutting up about this now. sorry for rambling, i was just so damn excited and i wanted to share. ^_^ i mean, i already e-mailed it to my co-writer in a fit of glee, and then we were chatting to each other really excitedly earlier this morning-
okay now i really will shut up. sorry 'bout that. :P
