hikaranko | for the uninitiated...

soooooo... i came up with this idea. i decided to make this, like, guide thing for if you wanna introduce Fullmetal Alchemist to somebody, and they're lazy to read the manga. since the storyline for the manga/Brotherhood is better overall than the original anime, that's the one you oughta show. but since the beginning of Brotherhood is so rushed because the original anime already covered it... well, this oughta be the way to do it.

try to show the episodes in this order:

Original Anime, episodes 1-2

just tell 'em to ignore the whole bird guy. or skip those parts, whatever works. that'll basically cover chapters 1 and 2, so- woohoo!

Original Anime episode 3 and/or Brotherhood, episode 2

this is the backstory stuff, y'know? it's kinda important, whichever one you show. though since both versions have different important bits and pieces, you may wanna show both... up to you, though.

Original Anime, episodes 5 + 9-13

episode 5 and 9 are basically chapters 3 and 4, but make sure you tell them to ignore Lyra, she's unimportant. and showing Psiren and the Tringhams and showing that omake chapter of Flame vs Fullmetal is just fun... though they should probably ignore every mention of Dr. Marcoh in that last set. he'll have his time later on.

[optional] Original Anime, episode 37

this episode is crack. it's not absolutely necessary to show, but it could be fun! the only problem is there is some mention of the original anime's very peculiar plot, i think... so steer clear of that to keep from getting stuff confused, and things should work out fine.

Brotherhood, episode 4 onward

from here on out, Brotherhood is all canon plot. keep in mind, though, that the episodes remain slightly rushed until around episode 13, and then episode 15 is where it really picks up on the good stuff.

... yeah, i'm weird. v_v;; i wanted to do that. part of me even wants to go so far as to edit all this video footage together, MERGE IT ALL INTO ONE, but... yeah, lazy. and- that's so time consuming. D:
