FanFic Rambling
because i feel the need.
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR HP:HBP AND KH1.
hm... though i guess that... if you haven't read Half-Blood Prince or played through the first Kingdom Hearts game by now... i'm extremely surprised. and i don't quite know what you're doing here reading this entry. XP
so anyways, jumping into the rambling. i'm really insanely annoyed that i smacked straight into a massive writer's block wall for CSAG. it hurts my feelings. and go figure, it has to suddenly appear there the instant i finish with the part that i've been waiting to write since... since like, the beginning. booo.
i just can't figure out what Draco could possibly be doing between the Sectumsempra incident and finally fixing the drawer. apart from holing himself up in the Room of Requirement. i mean, he can't be sitting in there every single minute of every single day, right?! he has to come out every now and then to eat and sleep and go to class just for the sake of going to class, doesn't he? and then, in addition to figuring out something interesting for him to do, i have to make sure that it's something that Ed can intrude on, since that's the entire point of his being in Hogwarts at all (in my story, anyway).
waaah, and then i've got to sort out the details of the Death Eater attack. and then the aftermath of it. and then contemplate the plausibility of a sequel, 'cause i know i'm going to miss writing this story when it's all finished. *gingerly massages temples* argh. this is going to be a lot harder than i thought.
but on the upside of hitting the CSAG writer's block wall of DOOM, i was forced to detour around it and somehow found a nice little place to slip through for my KH fic. (for those who don't know, i've been trying to effectively novelize the first Kingdom Hearts game for the past few years) so i was suddenly able to complete 2 and a half chapters in a shot. amazing! that's really a feat for me. i haven't been able to do that in ages! though i'm still planning stuff out for Halloween town (currently writing up Atlantica). i wanna add more movie references to it, but there really isn't a whole lot of room for it and it really doesn't need it. KH2 got into the movie plenty, so i shouldn't worry.
*sigh* it's been nice going back to Sora and his happy-go-lucky nature after writing several straight chapters of Harry Potter/Fullmetal Alchemist angst. it keeps a nice balance, doesn't it?
oh yeah, and there's the other fanfic that i've been contemplating... a pseudo crossover between KH and Ouran HS Host Club. XD this idea is strictly born of the fact that voice actors fascinate me. and Tamaki-senpai and Riku are of one voice. hence... i wanted a crossover. i'm just really really really weird like that.
it's a weird idea and has absolutely no plot thus far. i'm just toying with it because the characters of Ouran Host Club are so much fun. :P if i can come up with a better plotline, i may delve further into it. but for now, it's just kinda... floating there. XP
and i would totally do a Wilbur Robinson vs Peter Pan thing 'cause it'd make me laugh, but i can't think of a way to make it work. sad trip.
*phew* i feel like there's more to say, but it's not coming to the forefront of my mind right now. hmm... oh well, i guess that just means that this is the stuff i really wanted to get out. :P
