i said that accidentally to one of my cousins yesterday. i keep forgetting that the cousins on my mom's side aren't the same religion as us... -_-;;

my parents arrived last night from the Philippines. their flight was scheduled to arrive at 7, but apparently something incredible happened to their plane and they arrived safely at LAX at 5:30. 'course, it's not like anybody knew until about 6:30, so they still had to wait 'til 7 something. their excitement to see us again after 6 months outweighed the fact that they had been sitting in the airport for an hour and a half, though. so that was good. :P

so we went out for dinner with two of my aunts and my uncle and had a quick, nutty briefing session of what's been goin' on in Manila. waah, my mom is such a socialite! and she keeps changing her appearance. she looks younger now than she did when i left Manila. my sisters and i think that it could be because i'm not around to stress her out anymore. am i really that annoying? T_T
either way, she suddenly looks really young. she changed her hair back to its (more or less) natural color and let it grow out a little. it's scary. she seriously looks like she could be my dad's daughter. no foolin', somebody actually asked my dad if she was his daughter. O_o;;

it's kinda weird havin' my parents back all of a sudden. my sister was whining this morning and trying to drag me to go with her to get donuts. i refused vehemently on the grounds that i would end up having to pay for 'em. then she waved my dad's money in the air. "papa's paying!" "oh yeah!" "you really don't understand this situation very well, do you?" pret-ty cool! XD AND now i have more clothes to add to my closet, plus, my very own copy of Narutimate Hero!!! whhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeee!!! ... but for some weird reason, the background music stops after a certain period of time. it just stops. abruptly. can't really figure out why. but i guess it doesn't really matter because of all the yelling and hitting that goes on. :P i'm just being annoying again.

went out to the mall. it's the first time we've gone out as a complete family unit in a very long time. we watched The Family Stone (relatively predictable to a degree, but it was still really cute and funny and sweet). also got to peek into Hot Topic. OMGWTFPOLARBEAR i want that Naruto jacket!! sucks that it's $40, though!! and it was so frustrating, 'cause it was hard not to notice it, considering the fact that it was BRIGHT ORANGE. ... i wonder if i could find the materials to make a Naruto jacket of my own... anyways! also went into Borders and drowned myself in the manga section.
I FOUND KAREKANO. and now i'm even more frustrated, because the anime apparently stopped after the first chapter of VOLUME 8. EIGHT. EIGHT out of a series that is currently at volume EIGHTEEN. WWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT?!?!?!?! there better be more KareKano anime underway. or on DVD somewhere out there that i am not aware of.

and i really do love Kazuma now. :)

i have strange taste in anime... between Oh My Goddess!, Gensoumaden Saiyuki, Ranma 1/2, Naruto, and KareKano...? i have romance and senseless violence thrown in there...

i'm such a weirdo. XD
