... what?

hikaranko: (DO NOT WANT D8)
i... i think a high schooler tried to hit on me today.

i was at a family party, and i was hanging out and playing video games with some of my younger cousins. some dude that i've never seen shows up in the doorway of the room, smiles at me, says hi. so, whatever, i say hi back. and then he's all, super smiley at me, and sort of doing that leaning thing? and he goes "so..... you go to school around here? :3"

he might as well have been saying "so... come here often? ;)" like we were in a bar. how textbook. XD

so i went "yeah. Cal State University LA." and that shut him up nicely, since he's. like. a high schooler. i'm a little out of his age range. ... i think. i hope, holy crap.

also, i have no idea why he was at my family party. i've never seen him before, and i'm pretty sure i know all of my relatives who are that age.

... anyway, yeah. random thing that both amused and confused me.
hikaranko: (angst)
here's the thing. i know my sister means well by amassing massive amounts of leftover food into the fridge. she does, after all, have to provide food for me somehow, and that's the best way she knows how to do that, since she's not in the apartment for 4-5 days a week. but i would think that, after living with me for several years straight, that she's realized that unlike her, i don't like eating leftovers. i never have. it's just... gross to me. i don't know why, it just is.

she also has to realize that i'm no longer home as much as i once was, so i have no reason to not be able to get food for myself somehow. i'm not sure how exactly she expects me to eat all the food that winds up in there within the one week that it remains good when i'm not home most of the day. even if i did like leftovers, i'm not capable of packing that shit away as fast as she can.

i just think that if she really wants all that food to get eaten? she should also be here to help out with that.

...

and then there's the part where she makes me feel bad about it. yes, i know it's a waste. yes, i know i said i would clean up. yes, yes, yes, i understand all that. and yes, i know that i need to be nagged in order to get anything done. but does she have to do it with that tone of voice? that one that sounds like she's so terribly disappointed in me? that absolutely reeks an air of "God, you suck at life"? that makes me feel like such a horrible person? y'know, i'm not the one who never comes home. our situation at the moment basically stands as follows: she pays the rent for my apartment in exchange for the right to use the same as a closet. so why does she still feel the need to try playing disappointed mother on me? she's never here. what does she even care about how i live?

i get that she wants me to learn how to do shit the same way her boyfriend did. initiation through fire or something, right? but- well, maybe this is a big shocker or something, but... i'm not her boyfriend. knowing full well exactly how i grew up, she honestly thinks i'm gonna figure out how to do all this on my own? i get it, i'm spoiled. time to wake up, sleeping beauty, and learn about the real world.

yes, my oh so very independent boyfriend's a good influence. and i get the tough love bit, i really do.

but... sometimes? i kinda wish i had my sister back.
hikaranko: (Default)
eeeeeeee I know I should probably do a famine update but...... I'm at my cousin's house for her daughter's birthday... Her youngest baby is adooooooooooorable!!!! I-I keep playing with her and letting her hold my hand... Her hands are so tiny!!!!! I LOVE HER OMGGGGGGGGG

She was born late, so she has a bunch of health problems, but... She's tuff! She just hit the year mark and is waaaaaaaay underweight (about half the weight she should be) but I believe in her ability to survive!!! ... She has a good grip for a babeh, btw. O.O

So kyoot! I'd hug her if I didn't think that'd break her. :3

Okay. Quick fanime update just because... I had so much fun. Even though I got sick at the end there. It was my first time here, an duuuuuuuuude omg I would totally do it again. Next year's masquerade will win something? We hope??? Can that be our goal???

Piktars later!! ... Wh-when I has camera again. *is such a genius* -______-;;
hikaranko: (Default)
wow... i'd forgotten how noisy it gets when my parents are here. my mom's sitting on the couch watching the Price is Right, and my dad's taken it upon himself to clean everything in the apartment. and then... i dunno, i guess their hearing is starting to go? so when they watch TV, the volume is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY high up and they have no idea. buhh... i'm uselessly lying here and blogging, but... whatever. i got another writing idea, and i have to get it out before i forget. sure it's like... massively angsty, but - hehe, i like it. ....i'm evil. >_>

anyways! my parents brought home with them a whole buncha clothes for us to pick from, so i thought that was awesome~ including this really cute dress thing! my sister and i were like, flailing all over it 'cause it was absolutely adorable. luckily my mom bought 2, so we don't have to worry about sharing. XD lots of jackets and stuffs... but i think my favorite thing my parents brought were the seven packages of pastillas. * 3*  i-i love that stuff. it's one of the things i miss most about the philippines. basically a mix of sugar and milk. MMMMMM~~~

at any rate, i've been thinking of something. i've apparently turned into an OTP arist. on top of the like. 5000 drawings i've made for Ed and Lina, i have just added stuffs for Marron Glace (Sorcerer Hunters)/Alphonse Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist), Tony Stark (Iron Man)/Kaylee Frye (Firefly), and Kanda Yuu (D.Grayman)/Lady (Devil May Cry). they turned out really cute! so these have led me to wondering whether or not i should like. start charging for this stuff. XD i would totally take commissions and stuff on dA if i... knew people would actually buy something. i mean, it's one thing to know people would want to buy, and another thing entirely to know they actually would buy it. so just... that dubiousness makes me iffy on the idea.

i think it'd be fun though. :3 and if it actually worked, at least i'd get a little bit of money, right? ...i don't know how that whole thing would work, but.... ah well. still something worth pondering.

...one other thing. my parents... really must stop nagging me. i don't respond to it well. it just makes me even less motivated to do things knowing that they're gonna be on my back the whole way. which is horrible of me, but i... can't... help it. >_<

owie...

hikaranko: (confused)
so now i know why i've been in such a mood lately. it's my time of the month. faaantaaaastic. XP

so before cramps kick in and take over. few things~

last thursday, like some kinda miracle or something... my parents and i were driving down to Walnut, and my dad had heard from one of our relatives that there were still Wiis available at Electronics Fry's. and there's one on the way to Walnut from LA, so as we were approaching the exit for it on the freeway my dad goes "hey, let's go see if they have the Wii." and i was just like "they're sold out everywhere, they probably don't." but he insists, and my mom's all for checking the place out too, and we were supposed to buy a Wii game for my cousin's birthday anyway, so we went on in. we made a bet, too. i bet against the Wii being there, my dad bet for it.

weirdly enough, we didn't find the game he wanted (Naruto - Clash of the Ninja: Revolution, which we later found in Circuit City and oh, drives me nuts with frikkin' "BELIEVE IT!" being thrown around all over the place). and so i was like "haha, i win the bet, fork over your $5." we still hung around though, seeing what else was there and stuff. i'd never been in a Fry's store before. it was bloody huuuuge!! they've got like, everything in there. books, CDs, appliances, games, magazines... it was quite amazing. so anyway, eventually i decided to get volumes 13 and 14 of Fullmetal Alchemist and my mom bought a pack of CD sleeves. so i go to the counter, and i pay, and as i'm leaving the counter, i see 2 people carrying Wii boxes.

i had to do a double take. and then i had to find my dad, so i started calling for him. and when i told him what i saw, we followed the trail, and it was just like OMGWTFBBQ FRY'S YOU ARE SELLING THEM. as it turned out, they'd just gotten a shipment in the night before, and by the time i had discovered it approximately 1:22pm, they were down to their last 2 or 3 bundles. and since my dad had previously promised he'd get me one for my birthday, whether it was early or belated or what, and so... he did. thing is, they weren't selling just the console. they were selling it in bundles, that included: the console itself and all the stuff with it, Super Mario Galaxy, Namco Museum, WiiPlay (with extra Wiimote), a nunchuck, a classic controller, a better sensor bar, better A/V cables, and a pack of those things you attach to the Wiimote to enhance your WiiSports experience.
...of course, that threw the price waay way up. so i believe we bought it for a solid $530. +tax. and some CD that my mom picked out last minute. so right then and there, we coughed up $600. ...we coulda got a PS3 with that money. XD

still. i am shocked and amazed by what happened. :D

in other news! i have now borrowed .hack//G.U. vol.2 Reminiscence and got a brand spankin' new copy of Tales of the Abyss, so i'm getting dually assaulted by the voices of Yuri Lowenthal and Johnny Yong Basch, and it's quite entertaining. XD
also: leaving for Washington D.C. to visit my sister on Sunday night. we're gonna be there for.. pretty much, the rest of my vacation. the second i get back, i'm already starting school. which kinda blows, but oh well. can't do anything about it. ...well, technically, i could cut. but my parents being in town makes that difficult.

and SPEAKING of school. GOOD GRIEF. my schedule for this winter quarter is insane. my parents forced me just to jump into the classes and figure out how the hell i'm gonna be getting around afterward. aren't my parents amazing sometimes? gah. but anyway... as it stands, i'm not gonna be able to make it to Chapman as often as i'd like. unless i get my driver's license soon (i now have a new permit! yay!). maybe twice between the start of January and the end of March, because that's how many times i'm allowed to skip a class without penalty. ...unless they don't take attendance. in which case... we will see. :P i mean geez, the only class i've got on Thursday, and of course it's gotta run from 4:30 to 7:30. people are insane.

so... argh. the cramps have assaulted. they have wonderful timing. i'm gonna go assault my PS2 again now, kthxbai. :)
hikaranko: (mischief)
in bullet point format! :D

- BOO inability to go to Chapman today. TT-TT all my plans, shot to pieces... *woe*

- parents are here now, making for some serious WTFery... they are constantly trying to buying new things for the apartment that we are more than likely not going to be using when they're not here. for instance? there is a toaster oven on the counter now. it looks really awkward sitting there, but bam. there it is. and they got us a printer (that has no plug to the computer XP), and so now they wanna buy a desk for it to sit on. i wouldn't complain about that, but the thing is... there's really no place for a desk in our apartment. seriously. we need couches to serve as beds, and they take a lot of the space.

- I FINISHED .HACK//G.U. VOLUME 1 YESTERDAY, HUZZAH. now i need volume 2, or else my head will go kablooey.

- NO MORE SCHOOL, HUZZAH.

- Metro buses, you suck. you made me miss Enchanted last week, but on the plus side,

- i still got to go see it later. and WHEEEEEEEEEEE i love it!!! Prince Edward is my faaaaaaaaaaavorite~ and maybe that's just because i'm biased against Patrick Dempsey, but ARGH. but i also really desperately want the soundtrack to Enchanted now. XD those songs were just too too cute.

- WENT TO DISNEYLAND ON MONDAY NIGHT, HUZZAH. i love that place. WINTER CASTLE AND HUMAN!ARIEL IN THE PARADE, FTW. "SHE'S GOT LEGS, she gave her voice to da sea witch and got legs, GEEZ, mon." she was so pretty in her green dress and her Eric was really quite cute. ♥

- lots of time to write and RP now! yay! XD
hikaranko: (mischief)
so, Turkey Day came and went without a hitch! and i enjoyed it... let's try to make this brief. emphasis on the try... i really do write and talk too much.

anyways! for the weekend, went eastward to Walnut, the land of Filipinos and Where the Relatives Reside. and it's funny, 'cause most of my family apparently flew to the Philippines recently, so only the people who had kids in high school (or younger) were still there. which is actually not that many people, surprisingly. but anyway, we got picked up by our uncle and cousin (we were gonna go on an adventure by taking the bus over there, but my sister totally chickened out on me) and drove all the way over there... and our other cousin, who wasn't home and was actually working at the time, apparently has Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band. so we went over there to abduct the games...

but alas. my cousin is clearly insane. for one thing, we didn't realize that he'd gotten these things for the PS3, which he now apparently has. so we thought, maybe we'll abduct the console, too! but we couldn't get the fool thing unplugged. there are like, 5 billion plugs for the ps3, it seems like, and my cousin is insane because he had it hooked up to a HD PLASMA TV. and when we called him to ask how in the hell we're supposed to uproot the little monster, he said not to because he "couldn't stand to see it hooked up to normal TV." how spoiled is he?! i mean WOW. so we had to replug it (which i apparently messed up a bit, hehehe) and then just started playing Rock Band there.

and omg, FUN MUCH? the guitar is quite different from the Guitar Hero ones, so that took some getting used to (and we didn't dare try to use the meedleymeedleymeedley buttons near the base of the neck, they're so small!). the drums are awesome, and the mic? THE MIC IS SO COOL. i just find the fact that it actually judges how you sing the song to be simply AMAZING. it's better than a freaking karaoke machine!! by like, leaps and bounds!  and we were singing, um, Black Hole Sun, and Here It Goes, and Celebrity Hole, and Ballroom Blitz (which we tried to sing like Tia Carrera, it was quite funny), and just, gah, it was soooo much fun.

and we made a band. so, like, we made little characters and everything. and mine is named Karma, and she's the guitarist for our great band, THE MEDIUMS. yes, that's right. THE MEDIUMS, because that's pretty much the only level we could play on. XD it stuck. ... oh shush, we think it sounds awesome.

but anyway, aside from that... we had turkey. we ate us some Gobble Gobble turkey, and it was delicious. and our aunt had been kinda nervous about it, 'cause she's not usually the one who cooks! but everybody's in the Philippines, so... what could we do? she was nervous and excited, and it came out really good, and that gravy was fantastic... it would have been so good if we had mashed potatoes though. but we're Filipinos, so we'll make do with our rice. ^_^

after dinner, we went right back to Rock Band. XD y'know, after several hours straight of wielding the "axe of rock", my left wrist was starting to hurt. what is that, carpal tunnel? i hope not!! TT - TT  but whatever, it was still fun. and we were up playing it until like, 3 am, and then we all passed out. at least we woke up in time for elevensies.

but then, unfortunately, we had to go back to LA. we borrowed a car, though! so now, where we were previously without a car and having trouble getting around, the trouble is averted! and my sister totally took advantage of that time to go run errands, which i was dragged to... but oh well. our apartment is becoming prettier and prettier all the time! :D

in more recent news, we watched Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium the other night (since sister's denying me Enchanted until wednesday). IT'S SO CUTE, i love Dustin Hoffman in it, he's all bumbling and adorable! and the monkey doll that wants to be hugged... i loved that monkey doll, it was too cute for words~

and also in other news: yaaaaaaaaaaaay for .hack! i think i'm almost done with vol.1... i'm gonna have to borrow vol.2 from somebody. i ain't buyin' it! you can't make me!

so anyways. see all that? omg, i babbled again. anyways, that's all i've got for now. so... um... TTFN, ta ta for now! ^_^
hikaranko: (biidah!)
yes, i is slowly turning into macro kitty the longer i stays at home and get consumed by the interwebz. i just get weirder and weirder and weeeeirderrr... consider yourself warned. read on, if you so dare.

SO. anyways! i know i'd been planning on talking about Comic Con at some point or another but that never happened... okay, so just quickly! IT WAS FUN. PHOTOS OF AMY/SORA AND JACK SPARROW AND RANDOM DISNEY STATUETTE THINGS FOR THE WIN. i would like to take Amy to Disneyland in her full garb and force them to hire her to run around the park dressed like Sora. just because. it'd be fun. though she'd have to run away from anybody that tries to talk to her because... well, unfortunately her voice is a dead give away. AND AND OOH. JOHNNY YONG BASCH DESU~. and, and RANDOM HANGING OUT-NESS with Amy and Caitlin is teh fun times, muchly. i kid you not. i am so, so serious. ^_^

okay moving on. this week, and possibly over the course of the next week, things are happening. and this is a good thing, seriously. because i probably need to get out of the apartment more often these days.

Amy and people are plotting some sort of trip to the Happiest Place On Earth, which will happen... some time this month, details on that are very sketchy indeed. BUT. it will happen! i hope!

and then Becca and her brother (yay for new friends!) are coming down into the SoCal area for the week! hanging out-ness might happen there, too, we are still plotting and there will maybe be MOAR DISNEYLANDS which is totally fine by me. ^_^ *such a Disney geek, agraaahhh omg* though that trip to Disneyland would require the 2-Hour Bus Ride of DOOM from Union Station, unless we somehow convince somebody to drive us there and pick us up again later.

and then there's Friday. ohhhhh maahhhh gaaahhhhd. on the 17th, and i have been plotting this for a while! on the 17th, i am taking the Metrolink rail thing alll the waaay down to Oceanside, near San Diego. why, you ask? because i have intent to meet with a friend of mine. :) i call her P-chan (it's a Ranma thing, long story short), and this is how we will refer to her. i promised her and her boyfriend and her friends that i'd go meet them and hang out, at least for a day, and i am standing by this promise! the only issues are that i am gonna have to get my ass to Union Station before 8 so i can get down there by 10ish, and then if i can't stay overnight i'm gonna have to depart at like, 6pm. which would kinda suck, but yeah.

man... the things i do for my friends. ^_^ (i love you guys!)

in other news, my eldest sister is moving to D.C. on Monday, to go get her masters in business school. O_O it's gonna be very bizarre not having her around anymore... though at the same time, this means me and my other sister will be able to cover the walls in movie posters (we have like, 3 Meet the Robinsons posters that require posting ASAP) and other miscellaney fun decors! and be as messy as we like. it'll be fun. XD

and in still other news... *stabs school stuff* CSULA required classes stuff is EVIL and DRIVES ME INSANE. i'm gonna have to talk to a counselor or something because man, this school is just nuckin' futs with the GEs. and i'm really upset that i cannot continue taking Japanese at all because if i do i'm gonna take another 8 damn years before i graduate... i'm starting to wonder if i should transfer to a less complicated school. i liked Chapman. i wonder if i can puppy dog eyes/guilt trip my parents into letting me go back... i seriously doubt it, but i will try anyway!! ^_^;;

i will end this post with something random... Hairspray is a very fun happy cheerful bouncy musical movie.

*fin*
i've decided that my sleepiness probably has something to do with this bout of crazy. ...oh well.
hikaranko: (Default)
'twas my mother's birthday yesterday. and we took her to Disneyland. :)

okay okay, so. morning. left Walnut at around 9:15, got to the park at 10ish - we wanted to be there earlier 'cause we had priority seating scheduled for 9:50 at the Plaza Inn, the violently pink, really delicious chicken place near Main Street. we got in even if we were a little late, which was cool because duuuuude breakfast there was awesome! characters everywhere!!

so first we see Eeyore on our way in... he didn't see us just then, but yeah, we saw him. he's so adorable, lemme tell you. then we saw Captain Hook, but he was like, talking to other people. i had half a mind to stand and just salute at him until he noticed and came over to greet us... but i'm shy. :P but Dale attacked us while we were eating. he came up from behind and started ruffling me and my sister's hair up like crazy and we were both like "WAAAAH WHO'S DOING THAT?!" but we love Dale, and we took a picture with him, our hair all messed up as it was. and we told him that it was our mom's birthday, so he goes over and sits next to her and... they started playing. or something. it was cute, because it was our mom, and we've never seen her more like a little kid. XD

after Dale, i believe Tigger came over and attacked us in a similar manner. but we have the nicest picture with him, and i totally adore that stuffed tiger now. he started trying to put my sister's sunglasses back on over her face, which resulted in her hair getting all over the place but was really funny to watch. XD after Tigger was Minnie, who didn't do anything like that, but she was really sweet to us and took a nice pic with my mom. then we assaulted Capt Hook, since he wouldn't come over to our table. me and my sister each took a picture with him, making hook gestures with our fingers, and that was fun. one of the servers nearby seemed to be very amused by our antics. ^_^

and then there was Eeyore. okay. i need to get more Eeyore stuff. he comes over, and he's so cute with his sad little face and his long ears and just - just - *squeal*. and... well, since i was advertising the DVD release of Meet the Robinsons and had all this MTR gear all over me (hat, shirt, bag)... it was amazing, because he recognized it. Eeyore pointed at the logo on my shirt, and the logo on my hat and bag, and clapped!! i was so excited!! XD but then he pointed at himself and gave us this questioning look (funny as that sounds, believe me, it was a questioning look on that big face of his), and we were just like "awww, i'm sorry, we don't have any Eeyore stuff." almost immediately we felt bad because, well, he started crying. i blame my sister - she has Eeyore stuff, she just didn't wear/bring any of it with us. then again, we never imagined we'd meet Eeyore. but we promised him that next time we'd come with Eeyore stuff, hugged him, took more pictures, and then adored him some more as he left.

so that was brunch. oh yeah, the food was good, too. :P

and oh, just as a note: my mom made me grab her a pink balloon before we left the Plaza Inn. she tied it to the handle of her purse and... it pretty much stayed with her all day. the Balloon was surprisingly durable. i actually think it's still alive somewhere in our apartment...

but anyways, we didn't go on too many rides (this is my mom we're taking, after all). we passed by the Finding Nemo lake, just to see what it looked like. it's nice not having to bump into that long Finding Nemo "Coming Summer 2007" wall of DOOM there... i'd almost forgotten what that area looked like. ^_^ then we took our mom to the princess fair, just to check out because she loves the princesses. stayed there for a while and then headed over to Frontierland. we hopped onto the Mark Twain and gaped at Pirate Island from afar - managed to sneak a peek at the great Capt Jack Sparrow, caught him on film and everything, and that was exciting. then we went to go watch Billy Hill & the Hillbillies perform (such a funny show, for those of you who've never seen it. it's in the Golden Horseshoe, we went to the 1pm showing) and thoroughly enjoyed that, clapping and singing and laughing our hearts out. :D from there we went on Pirates, since my mom hadn't seen Jack in there until then, and after that we managed to convince her to let us go on Indy. that was just... a must. honestly. and the fact that the Balloon survived Indy and Pirates continues to amaze us.

after Indy we sorta rushed to get back to Main Street to watch the Parade of Dreams (amazingly, that all lasted until 3:15 precisely). my mom loved the parade, me and my sister beamed happily. and then i saw the Ratatouille window. it's a really cute window, with Linguini teetering around the room, blindfolded, Remy on his head and pulling at his hair. but... it's just that...

*sigh* okay. i know i shouldn't feel like it's a competition or anything, 'cause Pixar and Disney are allies. but still... it made me really sad to realize that... Meet the Robinsons didn't get a window like that. i looked around some more.. not even a tiny little time machine hovering in the corner of one of the older displays!

Meet the Robinsons kinda got the short end of the stick, when i stopped to think about it. i saw Emile, Remy the Rat's brother, over in New Orleans Square from the Pirates line, which my sister and i immediately decided made total sense. and Ratatouille's been getting a lot of great publicity, which i'm glad for. it's #1 on the charts! i mean, it beat Die Hard, of all things. but i just felt so horrible for Meet the Robinsons. they don't even get to be in Tomorrowland, WHERE THEY BELONG. i mean.. WHAT?! WHY NOT?!?! it just makes me so sad to see Ratatouille everywhere, all over the park, all over the stores... and where had Meet the Robinsons gone? TT_TT i weep. i, in my Wilbur T-shirt, weep.

though it does mean that MTR gets this great little cult following. XD

back on track. we went to California Adventure after the parade, 'cause we wanted to take our mom to the Aladdin musical, but that had... well, something happened to it, so we couldn't. that made us sad... so we just went into the animation building to see if we could find any MTR displays. 'lo and behold, we did! next to one for Ratatouille and another for Wall-E (Pixar 2008, looks really cute), but ah well. took pictures with that, and also of the little Carl concept art that had found a place between Abbi from Chicken Little and the Genie. that was exciting. :P then we went over to Soarin' Over California, 'cause everyone loves that ride in all its simplicity and wonder (and it was highly entertaining watching my mom stuff the Balloon into the pouch under the seat XP). saw Lightning McQueen and Mater (GAH?! once again, where are my MTR boys at?!) on the way there. i had no idea you could see them at all... but anyways, very nearly missed the Block Party, which we had every intention of letting our mom see because she loves dancing and music and stuff. but we made it there somehow, and that was lots of fun times.

after that we sorta just.. chilled for a while, waiting, because we had priority seating at the... Vineyard Tor-something or other, restaurant place. ... we don't know the DCA that well, we have yet to explore it in its entirety. :P but anyways, that food was yummy too, and then from there we went on these little tours of a bakery (Colin Mochrie and Rosie O'Donnel were the video tour guides for some reason!) and a tortilla factory ("MESACAAA..."), which were pretty cool in themselves. :P and after that, we found our spot facing the pier and just.. relaxed.

we stared across the water at what we could see of Ariel's Grotto and sort of spied on the few princesses that went through. we saw Belle, Cinderella, Aurora (who also saw us as she was leaving and waved, which really caught us off guard), and Snow White. ... we wanted to see Ariel. because apparently that's the only place in the DLR where she appears AS A HUMAN. it never ceased to amaze me why on earth they didn't want Ariel wandering the park on two legs 'cause, i mean, she became human at the end of the movie! ... well, sadly, we didn't see her. i resolve to, though. someday. somehow.

so then we caught the Electric Parade, 'cause it's a classic, and then followed the throng of people back to DL to see the fireworks. it was actually quite impressive, because literally, the second we started walking down Main Street, the lights went out and the show started. XD so our mom watched and loved that. we left after i got a cup of hot choco, but i was severely depressed that i was unable to get a churro before leaving. the churro cart that's usually near the exit vanished into thin air. i was crushed.

we left the park, but i demanded that we go into the World of Disney store to make up for my lack of sugary churro goodness. i bought this adorable Jack Sparrow Mickey Mouse Ears hat of love. no one dared tell me not to. bwaha. beware of kara with no sugar (though you should be equally aware of kara with too much sugar, if not more). my mom got these cute Disney mugs for her and my dad, a thermos for herself, and another thermos for Boring Sister That Deigned Not to Join Us that's got Maleficent on it and says "I'm WICKED. ...what's your excuse?" on it. my mom has one with Mickey saying "I'm on Vacation. ...what's your excuse?"

scoured the store for MTR stuff. only found the games, the soundtrack, and the artbook. no plushies or anything, which once again makes me very very sad. *snff* but then i remembered my Jack Sparrow Ears and i became a little happier. my mom asked me later while we were on the tram where i thought i'd ever wear it, and i just looked back at her very seriously and said, "....... pirate parties." ...not sure myself what a pirate party is, though i'm sure it involves lots of pirates and piratey things (ooh, actually, we decided that our first pirate party will be when the 3rd movie comes out on DVD and we marathon them). so that's what i'll wear it to. mmhmm. *solemn nod*

and that was the Disneyland Trip, July 2, 2007. :D fun times!

.. next time i go, i'm definitely going on the Finding Nemo sub.
hikaranko: (Default)

as an early celebration for my sister's birthday, we hopped aboard a cruise ship bound for mexico.

O_O

it was a really... big... boat.

so first of all, the rooms were damn nice. even though i had to sleep on a big pull out shelf with a mattress and blankets on it (that made me frikkin' nervous, i was always afraid it was gonna fall). but it was really nice, and every time we came back for dinner there was a set of towels on the bed folded up to look like an animal. first night it was a walrus, then a dog, then an elephant. frikkin' awesome. XD

anyways, ginormous boat. free food. free food all day long, and i think that was my sister Katherine's favorite part of the whole thing. 24 hour pizza *squeal* and the dessert we had every night after dinner - warm chocolate melting cake - OMG YUM. i could've died happy every night for love of that stuff. the food was always good. seriously. yummy yummies all the time.

and the boat was crawling with filipinos. XD like, almost every staff and crew member we interacted with turned out to be filipino. and there was this band in one of the bar places... they were all filipino, and on 2 nights we went to listen to them play ('cause they are really good. one song you've gotta be able to play on the guitar in order to be awesome is definitely Bohemian Rhapsody, just for that crazy guitar solo right before the funny part) and both times they went over to talk to us. the 2nd night we saw them, me and my sisters got to pose on stage with their instruments (i got the lead guitar! *squeeeeeeeeeeal*). waaaaaaaah, awesomeness!

oh yeah, and there was Mexico. we were only on land for all of... 4 or 5 hours. XD we did this "Taste of Mexico" thing, where we were basically taken around Ensanada (the city we were at) to see the sites, hear some history, and then finally, cook up some authentic mexican food. we made salsa, which turned into guacamoli, and then chicken tamales and... oh crap, it was called, um... to... tort... crap, i can't remember. i'm pretty sure the word "torta" was in it, not tortilla obviously, but OH! TOSTADA! i was way off... ^_^;; so that's what we ate. and for "dessert" they made us dance for a little while. the dance instructor was really cute... *blushes fiercely* okay, moving on.

on the boat we did a lot of exploring. there was a big pool on the top deck, and my sisters laid out on stretch bench things there because they wanted to tan. ... it was really hot.  after a while i got frustrated and went back to the room, where it was cooler, and i read.  i suffered very badly from internet withdrawal (booo, the addiction... i blame the RP!! XD), and my dad eventually showed me a little bit of kindness and allowed me a quick fix at the internet cafe. ^_^;;

um... so in a nutshell and out of order, that's pretty much how the cruise went. :P it was fun, overall. disembarking wasn't happy because of all the customs and immigration and whatnot... but that's to be expected when one travels, no?

back on land... my mom bought a tiny Toshiba laptop and my computer is on the road to being fixed. my dad keeps trying to come up with crazy alternative "solutions." like: (in the store) "let's buy this Toshiba laptop, since it's only $500, and then remove its monitor and put it into your computer. then we can get a separate monitor for this computer, and that'll be your new desktop computer. well? what do you think?" uhh... that costs an unnecessary extra $200-$300... and no one would use the desktop if we all have laptops... -_-;; my dad is very bizarre.

but anyways, yeah. hopefully, things'll all work out.

and one final message...

Happy Birthday, Kristina!!!
Love ya!!

*does the amazingly happy happy dance* SCHOOOOOOOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!

and so now, there is VACATIONS to be had, and this is going to be awesome. :) though... well, with my parents here, they're gonna wanna do a lot of stuff that is very likely to frustrate me one way or another. but i'm still gonna try to make the best of it. my sister scheduled some kinda weirdo cruise for us to go on this weekend, so i will be gone and in Mexico or something for a couple days. should be back on Tuesday or something.

but blaaargh. it's not exactly something i'm really psyched about or even just looking forward to. maybe that makes me weird, but i'm just not the sort of person that likes traveling for the sake of traveling. like, i wanna go to Japan to shop and see stuff and feel like a lost anime character. Mexico... holds nothing of interest for me. my sister also wants to go to Europe this summer, and while i think that's kinda cool or whatever, it's still kinda like... i don't mind if we don't go, either. (that's mostly a lot of walking and sight seeing, i think... not too crazy about that. what would we actually do there apart from pose in front of big historical landmarks and take pictures?) what can i say? i like staying home to do just short of nothing.

in other news... there are quite a few of us in my church... that want to go to AX. XD so we're all trying to figure something out, and one of my friends is like "you wanna dress up?? we gotta start working on costumes now if we're gonna dress up!" and i'm like "AAAAAH BUT WHAT WILL WE WEAR?!" (said exactly like that, btw XP) we also don't know what day we'd go... most likely Saturday. ...i still have to convince my parents to let me. dammit. :P baaahhhh, let me have my fun, parents, you forced me into Mexico!!

outside of all that...
*ahem* so... yeah, that's about it. yaaaay for summer times!!

GASP. I WILL HAVE TIME FOR VIDEO GAMES! so many RPGs yet to finish! *dances*
hikaranko: (Default)
ouch, my bank account.

i have to spend about $200 for my laptop's repairings... but i think it'll be worth it. while my sister's mac is quite cool in its way, i'm just not used to it... and i miss my laptop and all its anime fun-ness. :)

and... all things considered, it was a pretty damn good deal, money-wise. i had actually been expecting to lose almost $400 for repairs. so... i'm relatively pleased. :)

in other news, i'm currently reading the Amber Spyglass, book 3 of the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. this has been a long time coming... i mean, i started reading the series in like, 5th grade. and the library didn't have the last book, which upset me, so i never got to finish it. i'd even completely forgotten about it until i saw the set in the bookstore in CalState, and then i found out about the movie coming out in December and i just thought, "well, i'd better finish the series off then." so i bought the set, and i am thoroughly enjoying the 3rd book. it's interesting to me how everything just starts coming back to me in a wild, heady rush. it's insane! i love it. :D

these books are, to me, as Harry Potter has been for most other people. it goes without saying... that i'm excited for it.

(deep sigh) it's been a good day... though it started out with waking up very early and i just really desperately wanted to go back to sleep and not go anywhere... but we had to go to this sports thing that my church holds every now and again, and it actually turned out being a lot of fun jumping around and screaming our lungs out for our team, even if we were losing half of the events. :P it's all about attitude, y'know? be positive! ... Keep Moving Forward! (hehe, i had to say it)

after that, my nephew turned 1 year old today, so we went to his little birthday party! HE'S SO ADORABLE. half-asian half-caucasian babies are sooooo cute. he just has the chubbiest little cheeks and the cutest little baby smile, and he was so sleepy staring at his cake (as he continuously scooped bits of it up into his hands)... *squeal*
and i dimly realized that it's been quite a while since i last saw any of my family. so that was fun! and we were all watching this show and getting really hyped up about it... does anybody watch Ninja Warrior on G4?? it's crazy!! those people are like, L337 N1NJ4 SKILLZ. hence being on the show... it's a japanese show, where a bunch of people (separate divisions for men and women, though) set off to prove how awesomely ninja they are. IT'S NUTS!! it was a marathon today, too, we couldn't move away from the TV!! it was awesome!!

we left eventually, stealing away some foodstuffs as we did so. and now... i am home. :) and i'm sleepy and content, and life is good. ooh ooh, AND! my friend Christine is gonna pass by LA to see me before she boards a plane for the Philippines. so i'm really excited to see her! i haven't seen her in over a year now. XP

and i'm happy. and spent. XD
hikaranko: (Default)
i am rapidly approaching the final days of my vacation and my time here in manila. although, i am quite pleased with the fact that i got to meet up with some of my friends today. it was just for dinner, so it was nothing really huge. but playing the hand game was enjoyable as always. i'd been having such cravings ever since i got here... XD
anyways, i also spent the actual holiday portion of my vacation down in Bohol, which is another island down south that is very chill and beachy. so yeah, we migrated to the warm, humid place and spent the winter solstice on the beach. :P but it was a lot of fun, despite the near unbearable heat! my cousins and i did that silly dance (the governor of Bohol was actually at our party, so that was madness) and everybody seemed to like it... 'twas a good thing. we were all pretty nervous about it before, but now we're actually kinda proud of ourselves. we called ourselves "OK Cool", just because. we're weird like that. :D

so apart from that, there was hanging out at the beach. it rained on us a couple of times, though... but it wasn't so bad. it was actually kinda fun running across the beach through the rain dressed in our swimsuits holding our towels up over our heads. XP my sister got sick off the food at the holiday party, though, so that part probably wasn't very cool for her. we don't really know what happened to her (my parents had to haul her off to a doctor for half a day to make sure she was okay). we all felt bad for her, but... well, we couldn't let it dampen our time on the beach. so we went for a banana boat ride. unfortunately for me, i was stupid that morning and showered and changed without realizing that we were likely gonna go back out into the ocean, so i didn't ride the banana boat with them. but that did give me the chance to film everybody fall off the banana boat from aboard the speedboat that was pulling them. so that was pretty awesome. hehehe... splash. XD

between all these festivities, however, my cousins and i all played on our DSs. :D since they all got themselves shiny new DS Lites, they had an ownerless regular DS, which i gladly took off their hands. and i had asked my sister if she could buy some games for it to bring when she came over here, so since the 24th i've been the proud owner of Animal Crossing: Wild World, as well as the master of a miniature dachsund Nintendog. XD hehe... it's one of those times where i love my sister again.

so the past week's been pretty good overall.  i suppose the only unfortunate part is the fact that i've been sick. a sore throat that comes and goes with the evenings and a hoarse cough throughout the day. boooo... but still... can't let it get me down. :)

okay, my parents are bugging me to go to sleep since it's almost 1 am. best listen to them... for now. bwahaha... ;)
hikaranko: (mischief)
as always, my family holds to the belief that vacation is the time when you have to be out of the house every single hour of every single day. especially since my cousins who have never ever been to the Philippines in their lives ever arrived. we very much feel the need to show them around, which is no easy task considering the fact that Manila traffic has the amazing ability to turn what could be a 20 minute drive into a 2 hour trip. bah. but it's not too bad since we get to shop a lot with all the going out-ness, but it can quickly turn bad when the mothers hover around a single shop/stall for a good half hour, end up buying nothing, walk three feet, and then stop for another half hour at the shop/stall right next to the other one. repeat.

us kids get very weary of the pattern. but they don't let us off to our own business. i'm so craving a trip to an arcade. i need to arcade.

though i did buy a lot of video games. i now have Final Fantasy XII, Tales of the Abyss (ADDICTED TO THIS LIEK WHOA), .hack//G.U. (cannot play this properly yet until i finish Tales of the Abyss... same VA for the main characters, it confuses me), Devil May Cry 3, Psychonauts (can't play yet, need new memory card), Okami, Magna Carta (most complicated battle system ever), Wild Arms 4, Fullmetal Alchemist: Curse of the Crimson Elixir (i tried to convince myself not to get it but before i knew it i was paying... i'm such a fangirl.. *sigh*), and Battle Stadium D.O.N. (which is AWESOME because i love crossovers! it's Dragonball vs One Piece vs Naruto!!! wheeee!!! *dances*). so all that should keep me busy for the next... six months? maybe a year if school continues to plague me with its hassling-ness. crazy addicted, though. overwhelming gamerness right there.

but yeah, loads and loads of things distracting my brain from all sorts of things. between hanging out with my cousins and playing all those video games, my mind has little else to think about.

oh... and... one last thing. hehe... my cousins are making me learn this dance. we're trying to perform it at this Christmas/reunion party we're having... it's quite funny. it's gonna be so embarrassing. XD

*phew*

it's nice to be back. :) and plus, the apartment that i now inhabit with my sisters is really nice! there isn't enough room for all three of us to have our own beds, but the couches are super comfy. XD

well anyways, it seems that i got over my jet lag abnormally quickly. it's like, 4am in Manila right now, but i don't feel too sleepy. just the usual afternoon nap urges. :P

the plane ride was... oh blargh. i hate day flights, i can never sleep properly. over the course of the 17+ hours spent on the plane, i probably spent about... 5-6 hours sleeping. i couldn't sleep! i wanted to! i was dying for longer than 5 minutes of sleep but it was difficult! for the 10 hour flight stretch from Narita to LA, i think i slept for the first 2 hours and then for the last hour. *sob* it could also come from the fact that i was in an aisle seat and had nothing to lean against (i'm more used to window seats...)... sleeping was difficult!! waaaah!

okay i'm over it (hello, ADD!). heyyy, it's a friday!! oh how fun! XD probably gonna go into walnut this weekend. there's stuff i have to bring in to this apartment. like CDs... and manga... and clothes... and other miscellaneous stuffs i may need. or want. hmm...

and my sister's totally mad. i was perusing the giant shelf of DVDs which also has the video games and stuff... and i noted that my sister bought an old Playstation game to play. Star Ocean 2!! XD we bought that game a long time ago in Manila, but we couldn't find it when we were there so... i guess my sister just decided to buy it. :P we never finished it, come to think of it... i finished Star Ocean 3 while i was in Manila this summer, so maybe i've got a shot... hmm.... i'll play it later, when i'm done with my nap or something.

okay, hmm... what else is there to be said... i've been reading a lot of 666 Satan and it's kinda cute. :P there's just something about that adorable little kid running around saying "i'm gonna take over the world!" that makes me smile. ...which could be another sign of my instability, but whatever. ^_^;; and every time i read another chapter for Death Note, i feel nervous. i'm still in the first like, 10 chapters, so nobody say anything to spoil it! but Raito's gonna go super freaky on me, isn't he? gah, he is! i'm worried about that fool! >_<

haven't touched Hajime no Ippo. that shit's long.

i'm kinda worried about how i'm going to get my daily dose of anime. XD YouTube is all very good and useful, but there's always the chance that i won't be able to find something there... and i WOULD use bittorrent or something, but my laptop seems to have trouble maintaining an internet connection in this building (using my sister's computer at the moment). i could download at my uncle's house, but i don't know how often we visit them...

okay blargh, i'm sleepy. i'll take my 5 minute power nap and then be back up on my feet. maybe play Star Ocean 2. XD
hikaranko: (naruto)
currently sitting with my sister in Narita airport. we can't really do much of anything at the moment. been here since 2pm Japan time and it is now 5:22. our flight leaves for Manila at 7 something, so... yeah. Katherine's reading "The Devil Wears Prada" (if she finishes it before i do, i'm going to kill her), which is seriously a great book and i'm really excited to see the movie!!

anyways, so far, vacation's been great.  it was crazy!  i mean, the morning after my last exam we left LA for Hawai'i, so we arrived there in the afternoon. and wow, Hawai'i is just gorgeous! the weather was totally perfect! the sun was hot, but there was a great breeze like, all the time, and the heat was escapable by stepping into the shade. we stayed in Waikiki. damn it's so beautiful in Hawai'i, i can't get over it!! *squeal* we didn't shop too much (expensive!!) except at the International Marketplace. still didn't get a whole lot. i got this really cute necklace that has this pendant with a turtle inside it that spins around and around and it just makes me giggle. :P my mom got a whole bunch of shirts and stuff (i don't think all of it's for her, though). my sisters got some things, not too much, and my dad only got socks. my dad's odd.

other than shop, we (naturally) went to the beach. several beaches, actually. on Sunday we went to a beach Luau. it was a really gorgeous beach, and there was good food and GREAT entertainment. Hawaiian dancers!! Hula dancers have crazy ass hips to be able to do that butt thing (poor Fergie pales in comparison to their mad skillz). and all the male dancers were just... *drool*. SERIOUSLY. especially the fire guy. HO-LY SHIT. we got some great pictures of the dances.

plus, Cuz'n Trina (our tour bus leader gal) was really cool. she was just really funny and nice to us all! she called us her "sexy cousin bus", as opposed to the "ugly cousin bus" (which we got to make faces at as we passed). but yes, the luau was just soooo much fun.

Monday was Kristina's birthday, so we just had to do something totally special. so... we went to the beach! though of course, we didn't go to the beach that was like, right in front of the bloody hotel. hell no! we went OUT. to Hanauma Bay. it's kinduva nature preserve, so we're not allowed to touch the fish or the coral or feed them because that'd throw the eco system way outta whack, which is understandable. we didn't get to see many exciting looking fish, unfortunately for us, but we couldn't stay in the water too long anyway. 'cause after that... we were scheduled to go parasailing.

yes, i loooooooove parasailing. we took a shuttle out to this mall-like area a little ways away from Hanauma Bay. we went up to the marine sports place and it turned out that Kristina's friend from middle school (yep, ISM middle school. 10 YEARS AGO) works there. she hooked us up with free pictures. but anyways, we arranged the parasailing there, waited for the little boat to come pick us up (had ice cream while we waited. yyuuuuummmm...), and then went.

first things first. that was a cool little boat thing. it could really maneuver around!! and it was pretty fast, too!! so just riding in that little boat was fun! it was only supposed to take us out to the bay, to the boat that would actually be dragging us around, but it was a fun trip out.
secondly. the water in that area. OMG. talk about blue! the only way you could get water anywhere else to look that blue would be with food coloring. it didn't seem like it could be real!! but omg, it was just the most gorgeous, bluest water i will ever see in my entire life. we took so many pictures of just the water because we couldn't get enough of it!! it was so blue!!!
and thridly. parasailing is OMGWTFBBQ fun. hehehe... we took it extreme (an upgrade that we got free through Kristina's skill in dealing with boys), so we got dunked into the water like, a million times and got dragged around through the waves. not to mention we were about 500 feet in the air which just completely blew my mind.

we have pictures. i will put them up soon.

but after that, we were just totally exhausted. Tuesday was spent just in Waikiki (Katherine and I went to the beach in the morning, but we later discovered we should have gone in the afternoon when the tide came in). but Tuesday night we went to watch this Elvis show. hey, what can i say? i'm an Elvis fan! i've been an Elvis fan since i was about four years old, when it was just me and our nanny in the house. we would watch Elvis movies on TV and sing some Elvis songs. i had kinda completely forgotten about that part of me until Lilo & Stitch came out, and i started singing along with "Can't Help Falling in Love" during the credits. i couldn't explain why i knew the words at first, but then i figured it out. so yes, i've always been an Elvis fan.

which is why i was pretty excited to see the Elvis show. he was a really good Elvis!! and (heehee) he gave me a teddy bear while he was singing. i swear i was the youngest person in the audience. everyone else (save my sister) was at least in their 30's (though mostly even older than that XD). but yes, i'm an Elvis fan. and i sorta feel like it got renewed during that show.

and now... well, Katherine and I left Hawai'i this morning and arrived here in Japan almost four hours ago. we were awake for most of the trip, which is pretty impressive, if you ask me. it was a... 7 hour trip, i believe. so anyways, now we're in Narita airport. i kinda wanna wander around and talk to people in Japanese as much as i can, but... i'm shy... so i'm just gonna stay right where i am for now.

we're gonna be getting to Manila later tonight. i'm pretty excited to go back home, actually! i haven't been in Manila in a damn long time, and i wanna see everyone! (not to mention i'm feeling a dire need to shop and get a massage... hmm...) heehee... exciting! XD
hikaranko: (biidah!)
apparently, my parents want us to meet them in Hawaii this summer. they want us to leave... this friday.

*ahem*

extremely short notice, to point out the obvious. so we're trying to sort out if it's even possible to book that flight, seeing as it's summer so everyone's trying to fly somewhere for vacation and it's this effin' friday. the success rate here is... slim to none. but we'll see how it goes.

huh. i just find that to be utter madness on their part.

anyways... had lunch out today, in a big familial mass. my aunt's birthday (go figure). :P we all sang Happy Birthday for her and everything. it's always kinda nice to get to see everybody in one place and hang out with them, so that was cool. my little cousin had his gameboy with him and he kept telling me to finish the levels for him. though i'm not really sure why, 'cause he was trying to tell me what to do. which was ridiculous, because it was Sonic the Hedgehog and was very straightforward. but whatever. i forget how old he is. but he's one of the dangerous ones that i have to be on the look out for...

i'm kind of... in shock that it's June. every time we move into another month, i get disoriented. i have to remember that the date is different. i get confused.

my cousin's watching this Chinese movie called "The Promise." my sister originally thought it was a scary movie, but she was wrong. so then we thought maybe it's supposed to be a drama. but the acting and the situations are all... weird... so it feels a little more like a comedy. confusing. weird. bad movie? not sure yet.

speaking of bad movies... i didn't really like X3... probably just because i felt like a lot of what happened shouldn't have happened. the movie itself was good, and i liked it to an extent, but i guess there were just a few things that were a little disappointing. like... Wolverine's little obsession with Jean, and being in love with her and all that. and Rogue just gets more annoying with each movie. she's supposed to be cool! :( and how Scott was so swiftly and quickly dealt with... i dunno. but it seems to me like there'll be an X4, so... hmm... still looking forward to Superman and the next Pirates movie. they better be good!! live up to the hype, dammit!! XD

anyways... that's enough for now. i'm off to deal with life. :P
hikaranko: (biidah!)
i probably would be saying that to my mother and be spending the day with her, but... she ain't here. :P so that means today gets to be spent AT SCHOOL. ... -_-;; i hate group projects. really.

but anyways, this was a bizarre weekend. for Friday, i was looking forward to spending a day with nothing to do except for my art homework and then... i dunno, play video games... but alas, my sister had other plans for me. we spent the entire day roaming around LA and Hollywood to get footage for a 2 minute video we were compiling to show at our church. it wasn't so bad. i haven't wandered LA like a tourist for almost a year now, so it was kinda nice. :P at Hollywood and Highland, at the mall, there were all these characters wandering around on the sidewalk. we saw Van Helsing, Homer and Marge Simpson, Spongebob Squarepants (and he was talking to people in an eerily Spongebob-like voice), Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots, Batman, and Superman (who was actually quite good looking and my sister swears she saw him on the Daily Show once). oh, plus the horde of pink bathrobe clad ladies from FOX handing out free flowers for Mother's Day. i tried to avoid them. the Marge was kinda... freaking me out. and Spongebob, too.

so we filmed a bunch a stuff. we got the Hollywood sign, and some of the stars on the sidewalk, and a little bit of Rodeo Drive... wandering like a tourist. but i got very sleepy. we also attempted to wash the car, which was disastrous (and expensive, considering we could've done it at home for... for free). oh oh! we stopped at Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, and my sister picked up the collector's edition of Clerks. i settled for getting Megatokyo vol 3 (i endorse Fred Gallagher!), but i was perfectly content just staring at the Bluntman and Chronic costumes and the props from Dogma and DareDevil... :P

then on Saturday... i had to stay home to do that damn art assignment while my sister went off to Disneyland/California Adventure with her boyfriend. *grrr* apart from the art assignment, i got to watch the 2nd Naruto movie which was... well, kinda bizarre. (it's probably just me, but that movie had unofficial crossovers everywhere. the white-blonde kid with the ferret, the empty armor soldiers, Gaara clapping his hands... nah, it's probably just me). it had some great fight sequences, though! the animation in those sequences were really good... but geez, Naruto is just spamming his rasengan like there's no tomorrow. when will we get to see something new and cool? KISHIMOTO-SAN!!

WHICH, omg, REMINDS ME!! NARUTO 306!! FAAAAIIIIINAAAAALLLLLLYYYYYYYY!!!! now there's gonna be a beautiful epic battle which Naruto is probably going to lose 'cause he's wiped out. T_T but OMFG!!!

the day was also spent writing fanfiction, but i write fanfiction whenever i possibly can.

OH!! i made a video!! it would be so much better if it didn't have subtitles, which is why i'm dying for my download of the english dub to just finish already. i basically snagged Ed (FMA) and the Mole (South Park movie) out of context and turned them into one person. :P so... Ed is now French and hates God (gasp! i'm gonna get in trouble for this XP). "****ing guard dog sheeet!!" i think i'm gonna sign up for YouTube so i can show you guys. :P

and speaking of YouTube... watch and remember. how many of these did you dance to?
hikaranko: (naruto)

What type of Fae are you?

That's me!! That's SOOOOOO ME!!! XD i love quizzies.

anyways... i'm like, freakin' out... i have to go back to school tomorrow. O_O *dies*

i really have no idea how that's gonna work out. because... like... i don't remember what school is like!! i've been gone for too long... and... i don't know!! at least i have no classes on Fridays. EVER. XD i always have a 3 day weekend! but my days are kinda long... mondays and wednesdays run from about 10 to 6, and tuesdays and thursdays go from 10 to 3:30, unless i get that english class, in which case it will also run until 6. it's not so bad, really. i suppose i can deal with that. but can you believe that's only 4 (or 5) classes?! one of the art classes i have to take is a double block! it's like, effing long! and because i had to take that class, i couldn't take this class about the impact of technology on society. which i thought was kinda interesting... but oh well.

so... BAH.

on the plus side... my brain will no longer be left to rot. ... not that it ever was... i mean... i was writing fan fics to keep the wheels from rusting...

and ooh! it was my dad's birthday yesterday!! ... i don't remember how old he's turning (he's been lying about it for so long, i can't even remember anymore), but yaaaaay!!! XD we had some kind of party yesterday in honor of his birthday. my cousins came over and we played SSBM, and marc and i lost a lot, but it was fun. and we also played Double Dash, and i couldn't stop laughing because my cousin mikey was getting frustrated that he had the fewest first places. XD

so yay! happy days!

Kingdom Hearts 2 countdown: 2 DAYS!!! 2 MORE DAYS!!! *dances*
hikaranko: ("suave")
finally have time to recover from the two massive family gathering/parties that were being held. currently listening to that_kid's g33k sh0w. hehehe, fun stuff. :P

so i guess the non-stop party started Saturday evening when friends of my aunt and miscellaneous relatives (all of whom are much older than myself) began to filter into the house. apparently, they had all decided they were going to play mahjongg. just because they can. :P so i was expecting to see a maximum of five people come in, since mahjongg is a four player game. boy, was i ever wrong. seemed to me like someone spread some false rumor that a party was being thrown. by about 10 o'clock, the house was filled with lots of random people. i'm not sure i knew every face that i saw. there were like, two groups of mahjongg players, a karaoke group, and a group of people who just sat and watched TV.

i spent the better part of the evening in my cousin's room, watching FMA. i'm pushing him to finish the anime so i have an excuse to download the movie to my hard drive to twist and manipulate into AMVs. XD we didn't get to finish, though, because the internet seemed to be choking on something, so he went to sleep and i went back upstairs to hide in my hole from the prying eyes of my aunt and uncle's random friends. my sister and i winced at some of the karaoke singing... distracted myself by reading more fanfics.

it was then that i heard them. the voices... of small children.

i almost had a panic attack. it was very strange for me to be hearing the voices of children in the house, because it was past 12, and even though it was a saturday night, i highly doubt that most parents would still take their children around to parties at that time. and yet, there were small children in the house. i didn't wanna be caught by my aunt or uncle, so i poked my head out the door and stared, wide-eyed with horror, at my PS2. obviously it was the target. and i just had to be sure that, at the very least, my memory card and the precious files within it were safe from abuse. it was kinda hard to tell, though, so i stayed huddled at the door until i could make sure.

much to my relief, they did not play Narutimate. but to my absolute horror, they played Kingdom Hearts. this shocked me at first, and i realized that somewhere deep down i should be happy because KH is such an awesome game, but... i dunno... could've been me having some kinda super possessive... thing... over my copy of KH... so i kinda... obsessively watched them play for the first 10 some minutes, making sure nothing happened. i stopped when the kid took too long to pick between the sword, shield, and staff. decided to just go to sleep.

party part 2: lunch at someone's house. somebody's birthday.

turned out to be my cousin's 6th birthday, so off we went! yaaaaay, free food! XD we went, and i went straight to find the small cousins and hang out with them. they were playing Super Smash Bros. Melee. and for some very bizarre reason, they had started out with 99 lives. ... i arrived at life 90. we watched them for a while, wondering when the madness would end. my cousin and SSBM rival arrived when they were at about life 70. we then took over, beating each other senseless for a while. then we got bored and decided to speed the game up by killing ourselves until we were down to a life each, and then fought again.

the day was filled with lots of SSBM, actually. we played for several hours at a time, between eating and the occassional switch to the PS2 and the boxing game it offered. just before dinner, we started playing in teams. my cousin and his little sister made a killer team. they were really just... WHOA. my other cousin was watching around then and decided to play as well. he teamed up with me. it became our mission to WIN. we were obsessed. it just wasn't fair! they were such a good team! and then they were Mario and Luigi, both in green (which confused us because then they both looked like Luigi). i played as Roy, best foot forward, while my cousin switched between the characters in search of his best fit. we must have lost to the Mario bros about 15 times (grr!!). but we kept at it, refusing to stop until we won at least once.

the effort was long and consisted of a lot of shouting and rage... but we finally won!! YAAAAY!!!! the teams were Green Team: Mario + Luigi vs Red Team: Roy + Marth. oh yes. it was beautiful. after we won once we ate dinner, and then played again, just to be sure that it wasn't a fluke. we managed to win again, and we decided that we rock. XD

after that there was more karaoke singing that we sorta watched, and then we left the birthday party. rented some videos at the store and then came home. and... i am still listening to the geek show (12:10 AM now). XD i'm probably gonna go to sleep in a little while, though... it's a very funny show, though. the topics just kinda drift, and it's all good fun. am now debating whether or not i should read chapter 56 of the FMA manga, thus ending the FMA manga overdose (oh the gore! the drama! OH the madness and inhumanity of it all!!!). hmm... i shall save that enjoyment for another time.

okay, that's... about all for now. i'm still swelling with pride over today's SSBM victory. which just goes to show how much of a geek i really am. XD

yaaaaay, geeks!
