Performing?!
Feb. 5th, 2002 08:18 pmI'm not sure if I mentioned this already, but... my friends and I are auditioning for the High School Showcase (a talent show, of sorts). We really wanna make it! It's gonna be pretty tough though. There are a lot of good performers in our school... We're gonna be singing a Disney Medley: Part of Your World {The Little Mermaid), Reflection {Mulan), and I Won't Say (I'm In Love) {Hercules). I used to have Part of Your World as my solo, but since my friend who can't sing the high notes in Reflection, we've switched parts. So I'm Mulan now (which is still really cool, since Mulan is my favorite Disney character), and I get to hit the high notes in my friend's place. All three of us are singing I Won't Say (I'm In Love), since there are also the muses in the background. We can sing it properly now, we've got the lyrics down (mostly). But now we need some kind of choreography for the Hercules song. It's pretty dull if the muses sit in the background, singing and standing. Geez. We HAVE to do some kind of rhythmic movement, right? Or at least some kind of acting! We still have to organize that part, since that's where we SUCK. I don't wanna look like some idiot standing on stage, staring at my feet while I sing, doing nothing with my feet or arms or head. I mean, I'm almost positive that people would fall asleep. Especially since our total performance is about 6 and a half minutes! People would get REALLY bored. Well... I'm all kinds of anxious right now... I'm gonna go now.
