rain on my parade
Jan. 2nd, 2006 02:48 pmthe rain is being wierd. on again off again... it's stressing my mom out. XD but then again, i guess she has the right to be worried about the weather, since my parents are shippin' off back to Manila tonight. i have oodles of birthday money with which to spend as i see fit (NINTENDO DS), even though my birthday is still next week. i wanna spend my birthday in Disneyland if i can, but my sister has work. i'm trying to convince her to blow it off just for the one day, but we'll see how that goes.
ew, i'm gonna be 19. *shudder*
Naruto=OMGWTF. people on the forums are whispering excitedly all over the place. myself among them. :P the latest chapters have been very exciting. and somebody on the forum has the funniest picture in their sig. it's basically a fan art of what Sasuke might look like by now, wiggling back and forth across the space. underneath it is written: "C'mon Kishimoto! Saucekay's itchin' for an appearance!"
hehehe. "Saucekay". i am amused. :)
but anyways... for those of you out there who read the manga online as i do: READ. read like your life depends on it. because it's oh so very exciting. XD
AND, my cousin and i watched parts of the Naruto marathon on Cartoon Network. yay for episode 17!! i'm still disappointed that Naruto's VA doesn't handle drama too well. but i am LOVING Yuri Lowenthal (Saucekay's VA). 3 more episodes until we get to see Gaara for the first time! another 2 episodes until Lee, Neji, and Ten Ten, and one more after that until the rest of the rookies!! wheeee, exciting!!!
on the video making front: made a new Ranma video to "Jessie's Girl". it's a cute video, consisting of Ryoga lamenting over the fact that Ranma and Akane are a couple and he wants her and can't have her. made a Square-Enix video to "My Hero" (i forget who sang that... i know it's in the Varsity Blues soundtrack, though). that turned out nicely too. made a couple o' sad trip videos to the sad Buffy-Angel song, "Close Your Eyes"; one for FFX, one for OMG, and i'm thinkin' of making one for Naruto. they're easy to make, since i don't do a whole lot of editing with the footage. mostly just inserting the music to a specific scene and adjusting a few things for timing. and currently working on another Naruto vid to "Let's Get Retarded", and i feel horrible because it implies that Naruto's stupid, and even though he kinda sorta is, i feel bad.
lately i've been playing Star Ocean (the first one) on my computer. i'm kinda addicted. but i'm having a hard time, since it's partly in english, partly in japanese, and partly in fragmented-colored-pixel-computer-script language. still need to get around to finishing Star Ocean 3.
ooh... also gotta make those Firefly/Serenity icons that i promised my sister. :P i've amassed quite a few Mal pictures in an attempt to compare them side by side with pictures of Spike Spiegel (they're kind of alike... in character). also a lot of River pictures, 'cause River's one of my absolute faves. next to Wash and Jayne. XD

went around downtown LA with the parental units yesterday, around Wilshire and Mariposa. we're looking for a place to live, my sisters and i. found some nice lookin' buildings. but since it was New Year's, we couldn't exactly enter any of 'em to see if it was actually livable space. parentals are still hell-bent on finding a different school for me to go to. they say it's "all up to me", but i see right through that. but even if i do end up moving schools, i'm willing to drive to Chapman for anime club. still need to learn how to drive... *grumble*
hmmm... should get back to my video making. :P TTFN!
