clumsy, clumsy me...
Nov. 7th, 2007 05:09 pmno idea WHY, but i've been extremely clumsy lately.
for instance? my finger got slashed Monday night.
not slashed off, that would've been extremely traumatic and i would've posted sooner screaming about it in all caps and in huge font, so rest assured. i just like formatting things that way for dramatic effect. it's like SLASHED, PUM PUM PUHHH even though it's really not that big a deal. but anyways.
back to the point. my sister and i were organizing up the apartment Monday night, and she'd just bought roller blades (HUZZAH!) so i'd been testing them out and rolling around the apartment. which was awkward because carpet + roller blades = not so much with the fun movement stuff. but anyways, that's... that's got nothing to do with anything, doesn't pertain to- y'know, i'll stop with that now. so after i rolled around awkwardly, i was standing on the rolled up futon mattress thingy to pull the curtain thing shut. and when i hopped down (from the great height of about a foot), i tripped. and sprained my ankle.
so. yeah. sprained ankle. not so pleasant when you walk around LA a lot just to get to school.
but anyway, not such a big deal, that one. so i continued with the helping cleaning the apartment up and doing cool things. and at some point, i got up and started to sort of run to get my sister to help with something else... and i slipped somehow, which was awkward, and my hand hit a glass of water that had been sitting on the coffee table. and i felt the hit, and i heard the sound of glass being hit, and i was like "oh crap, did i break it?" and just when i was about to turn to check, i felt liquid on my hand. and i thought it was just water, because the glass had been full of water, and i instantly thought of a broken glass on the table and water all over the place... but when i looked at my hand it was like "oh look at that, i'm bleeding. a lot."
no idea why i wasn't more shocked, but yeah. so anyway, right at that second my sister pops out and is looking at me, and i look over at her and i smile and i go "that glass over there is broken. and it apparently cut me."
and my sister freaks out, but oh well whatever. apparently she can't stand the sight of blood. i did not know this. XD so i went to wash it, 'cause y'know, that's the logical thing to do... and wow, i had no idea your fingers could bleed so much! i mean, it just kept pourin' and gushin' outta the wound and i was like "WOW, i don't want to lose too much blood" so i grabbed some tissue and pressed it over the cut (actually, there's two little cuts... but i didn't realize that at the time, i couldn't really see it so good through all the redness) to make it stop bleeding. which made it difficult to get a bandaid on it, so i had to coerce my sister into getting over her weak-sauce queasy.
but anyway, that was Monday night. an interesting way to close an otherwise fantastic evening. because, i mean, right before that, i'd been messing around with the MTR DVD, and IT'S HILARIOUS to listen to in different languages. FRENCH DIMITRI WINS, FRENCH BHG IS SCARY and SPANISH BHG IS MADE OF AWESOME. and the Food Fight scene? AHAHAHAHAHAHA MOAR WINNINGS. THE DINO (Tiny) EVEN CHANGES LANGUAGES, IT'S AMAZING. *squeals*
"nononono sonnez ma sonnette dingdingdingding~" - French Dimitri for "Nononono ring my doorbell go on go on ring it ring it ring it c'mon ring it!"
i love that movie. i. love. that. movie. and then i watched the whole thing again yesterday and i cried tears of joy again. XD
LOVE. IT. SO MUCH. ZOMG. <3
